neptune first appeared in sailormoon S, as the mysterious senshi, who, along with sailoruranus, was searching for a pure heart that contained her talisman (the aqua mirror). sailorneptune discovered sailoruranus, in a dream she had. when she approached her saying this, uranus didn't believe her, but then she saved neptune's life, and discovered her true power. untransformed, neptune's name is michiru. michiru-chan is very artistic, musically inclined, intelligent, and graceful. she is also quite wealthy. she attends mugen gakuen high with haruka (sailoruranus) and hotaru (sailorsaturn).. before it blows up. michiru lives in a large mansion with haruka, setsuna (sailorpluto), and hotaru.

michiru is a gentle young woman, although some of her flaws are the fact that she is highly competitive and gets jealous rather easily. michiru has a "cool" attitude about her, which i find a little irking. she is somewhat arrogant, although not as much as haruka. aside from her flaws, michiru is a wonderful person. she is loving and nurturing. i could picture her as an excellent mother. when transformed, michiru has contol over all forms of water, which distinguishes her from sailormercury, who has power only over ice.

michiru and haruka have a very deep relationship with each other in the series, which surpasses mere love. they truly adore and understand one another, and it is heartwarming to see them interact together, on a personal basis.

as you read earlier, sailorneptune and uranus were searching for pure hearts that contained their talismans. it so turned out that uranus and neptune carried the talismans in their own hearts. their pure hearts were taken, the talismans were revealed, and they died... but then were revived later on.

sailorneptune's transformations and attacks

*neptune planet power, make-up!*-- neptune's one and only transformation. used in sailormoon S, and on.
*deep submerge!*-- water surrounds neptune, and she gathers this planet-shaped ball of energy and blasts it at an enemy.
*submarine reflection!*-- used with the aqua mirror, neptune holds it up, and a beam of energy comes from the face of the mirror, and hits the enemy.
